[/QUOTE] Hmm have you tried deception??? I put mirrors up in the zoot room back in the early stages of WAS. This gave the illusion that I had much more zoot than I really did. Now when I get an order I smuggle it in and stack it in front of the mirror and it is not even noticed. Another trick is to build something big out of some zoot, like a doghouse. (this could come in handy should you be sprung) When you need your zoot back, simply take O'l Butch to the vet for a squirt of green dream. You then report him missing putting a few posters up around the place with the kids offering a reward and wait a few weeks. When the heat is off you dismantle the dog house maintaining that seeing it sitting there empty brings back such painful memories. Oh and here is some insurance to put in place now if you are concerned your addiction will drive your partner to abandon you, however I must stress that this method will only work if they are currently a non-smoker. Firstly, go out and buy a big stash of FULL strength nicotine patches. Then each night when your partner goes to sleep, place one of the patches on them in a place were it is difficult for them to pull off by accident. Leave the patch in place over-night removing it each morning just before they wake up. If you follow these direction and maintain the regime, in just a few short weeks they'll be hooked. Now if ever they leave you, they will assume that the withdrawals they suffer at night must be true love and they will return home to you to feed the need that only you seem to be able to provide. I hope that this information is helpful to you. I know that some weirdos will claim my methods are extreme or unethical but I place know importance in the opinions of those unaffected by WAS, you simply must be there to know. Kim, what can I say? Your advice astounds me for its sheer brilliance and ingenuity. I don't think anyone else could have come up with anything thing even close to these, ah, pearls of wisdom. I do have one question though. You suggest removing the patch in the morning before waking. Any thought on how to do this with out being detected? Not that I need to do this you understand, just morbidly curious. |

Oh Lillian, So sorry, how foolish of me, and such an important detail to leave out as well.  I shall endeavour to make amends.
Of course we don't want to cause any level of discomfort or ill health to our loved one, so I like to try and stick, or unstick if you like, with an organic solution, pardon the double pun
I have found that a light dab upon the surface of the patch with a mixture of clove oil, to act as a local anaesthetic numbing the skin, and orange oil to release the adhesive works perfectly well after a short wait. To complete the deception, one should simply have a glass of cool orange juice close at hand to refresh and welcome your partner to the new day and of course explain away the pleasant aroma of oranges .
One suggestion especially for you Lillian, not that you would ever stoop to this level I'm sure  Should you partner happen to be follicley challenged due to the affects of male pattern baldness, or may be some other cause, this is a very good thing and you should take advantage of it.
You see the top of the head would make an ideal location for the patch. This avoids all possibility of him waking at night to answer the call of nature and discovering the patch on an area of his anatomy more easily inspected. Why even if by chance he felt it there so what, in the middle of the night, organising a second mirror for closer inspection would prove too much effort for old sleepy head. He would be more incline to simply head off back to bed leaving an inspection for the morrow, by which time of course, his nostrils would be filled with the sweet smell of oranges .

Kim, thank you so much. You have gone above and beyond everyone's expectations to be helpful. I don't think that I will ever be able to truly express my thoughts on your wicked deviancy. I am truly amazed, almost scared to ask what your day/night job is. I had to share this with Sweetie. It was simply too good not to share. The dog got a face full of ice tea. Well, it was better the dog than the laptop. The general consensus in this house is that Kim, you are wicked and Hesh, you aren't much better. Gawd, I love hanging out here.

Oh, and a little more on topic, sorry bout the highjack Don. A while back I bought some redwood tops from the Don. Truly excellent stuff, tight even and as stiff as a...umm.. board. But I did have one small problem. When I received the package I opened it up full of excitement. I held up a half side to my ear, gave it a gentle tap, and it began to ring long and clear. Just then, I was called away to pickup the kids from school. Despite my concerns that the boards may warp in their new environment if left unstickered, I just could not get back out the shed for the next 3 days. I just did not feel up to it as I had not slept well due to a persistent bout of tinnitus. On the 4th evening I finally struggled out to the shed to try and break the monotony and frustration of yet another sleepless night and sure enough, there on the bench was the cause of all my misery....yes the Don's Redwood was still ringing loud and clear
